Dr. Edward P. Miranda is a Board Certified plastic surgeon and a native of New York City. Dr. Miranda's philosophy on aesthetic surgery is that natural, subtle changes reveal true beauty.
Education
Dr. Miranda is Ivy League educated and attended Cornell University Medical College in New York, where he graduated with highest honors
(Alpha Omega Alpha). Cornell University Medical College is located at The New York Hospital--the oldest and most prestigious hospital in New York. Dr. Miranda earned a BS degree with Honors in Biochemistry from Cornell University.
Surgical Training
After graduation from medical school at Cornell, Dr. Miranda did residency training in general surgery at the University Of California San Francisco (UCSF). He then was awarded a research fellowship to study breast and brain cancer at
Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, NY. After finishing his fellowship, Dr. Miranda returned to the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) to do his plastic surgery training. Dr. Miranda is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Currently he serves as a highly qualified San Francisco plastic surgeon for the
Pacific Plastic Surgery Group providing exemplary cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries to each of his clients.
Outside of the fully accredited plastic surgery training at UCSF, Dr. Miranda has developed a strong interest in Aesthetic Surgery of the Asian Face as well as cosmetic surgery of the breast and body.. He has trained with some of the leading plastic surgeons in China and maintains expertise in the most modern techniques for Asian cosmetic surgery including:
- Asian Eyelid (Double Eyelid) surgery (for example the DST Method)
- Jaw Reduction
- Asian Rhinoplasty (Nasal Surgery)
He regularly travels to China and provides services to the leading Plastic Surgery Clinic in China.
Skin Care
In addition to his medical studies and plastic surgery training, Dr. Miranda also has worked for Estee Lauder Companies. At Estee Lauder, Dr. Miranda was trained in the design, production and testing of high quality cosmetics and cosmeceuticals. He has used that knowledge to design components of high tech cosmetic products. Scientific research related to his experience has been published in the medical literature.
Dr. Miranda uses his expertise gained through his experience at Estee Lauder and through his plastic surgical training to create a custom skin treatment plan for each patient.
Research and Scientific Interests
Dr. Miranda has received awards for innovation and research in surgery and is a published author. He additionally has given lectures at many major surgical meetings. His research interests include:

- Cosmetic Skin Resurfacing
- Skin Cancer Including Melanoma
- General Reconstruction Techniques
