Non-Surgical Services San Francisco
With many years of professional experience in the field, both our Plastic Surgeon and Dermatologist offer many innovative minimally-invasive treatments that are suitable for patients when plastic surgery is not conducive to their aesthetic wants and needs. Therefore, we also offer a series of minimally-invasive procedures that are designed with similar intentions as the plastic surgery procedures we offer at our office. Often requiring no incisions and minimal recovery time, these procedures are exactly what some men and women are looking for when considering cosmetic enhancements.
If you are looking to improve your outward appearance, particularly in the facial area or around your hands, you may not need plastic surgery at all. Instead, you may be able to get the results you desire through some of our alternate treatments. Some of the procedures we offer are:
Soft tissue fillers are used to literally fill in the grooves, gaps and wrinkles seen on a person’s hands and face. By injecting the fillers into these problem areas, the facial features will be re-firmed and rejuvenated, effectively creating a younger, suppler look for those who use them. The fillers our office offers include: Juvederm®, Sculptra®, Restylane®, Perlane®, Cosmederm® and Radiesse®.
Botox® is now commonly used among physicians for the treatment of wrinkles as well as excessive sweating and oversized jaw lines. Quick and easy, Botox® has become a go-to treatment for many men and women looking to reduce the lines and wrinkles on their foreheads, brow lines and around the eyes. It is now widely used to reduce sweating in the arms, palms and face as well.
Kybella® is a revolutionary FDA approved injectable shown to destroy fat cells under the chin, resulting a drastically improved profile. The injections are performed in office in about 15-20 minutes with no surgery and no downtime. Kybella is beneficial for those who have an excess fullness under the chin that cannot be reduced through diet and exercise. Sometimes this fullness is due to genetics, but can also be attributed to aging and weight gain. A patient may need between 1-6 injections depending on the individual. Once desired results are achieved no future treatment will be needed because all fat cells have been permanently destroyed.
Acne Scarring Surgery
Acne scarring can be treated with multiple methods, ranging from chemical peels that stimulate collagen growth around the scars to laser treatments that smooth out the bumpy areas of the skin. A combination approach is often used not only to improve the acne, but also the scarring resulting from old acne.
Varicose Vein Treatment
Visible veins in the skin are bothersome to many patients. Leg veins can be injected with solutions that cause the veins to close and disappear. Additionally, the Nd:YAG laser can be used to target the blood within leg and facial veins and thereby lead to vein closure.
Chemical peels are used for a variety of reasons including dark spots, melasma, sun damage, acne, fine wrinkles and to improve the general quality and texture of the skin. A series of chemical peels along with adequate protection from the sun can often lead to noticeable and lasting results.
Ultherapy is the only FDA-cleared non-invasive treatment for lifting the skin on the neck, chin and brow; and now it’s also the only non-invasive treatment specifically FDA-cleared to improve lines and wrinkles on the décolletage! Ultherapy uses focused ultrasound to stimulate collagen deep within the skin, with no downtime required. The result? Tighter, better-fitting skin, from the brow to the chest!
Sun damaged and chronically flushed skin can be bothersome to patients who suffer from these conditions on a daily basis. Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) is a light-based therapy that is used to target uneven skin color and texture as well as redness and fine blood vessels from flushing within the skin.
- Laser Skin Resurfacing
For acne scarring, scars from previous procedures, wrinkles and other issues related to aging and skin texture, laser skin resurfacing is a very effective treatment. A combination of laser treatments and gentle skin care throughout the healing and post-healing process can yield optimal results.
For facial veins, brown age spots and other pigmented lesions, Nd:YAG is a wonderful laser with minimal pain and downtime. If you are experiencing any of these problems, the Nd:YAG laser may be a wonderful tool to return your skin to its radiant state.
Coolsculpting is a revolutionary cosmetic procedure that is offered by Dr. Edward Miranda at the Pacific Plastic Surgery Group. For those who are looking for subtle body-contouring and sculpting without the risks of invasive surgery, Coolsculpting is their best option.
In addition to our cosmetic surgeries, we also have full-service technicians offering a wide range of facials to help rejuvenate your skin. Whether you desire your face to have a boost of hydration, in depth acne care, an anti-aging treatment or you simply want to experience a deep clean to remove toxins, our skilled estheticians provide the upmost in facial care.
Offering two types of treatments, the Crystal Microdermabrasion and the Diamond Peel Procedure, these procedures are perfect for those looking to minimize the look of fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars and other dark spots.
