Plastic Surgery Continues to Rise in Popularity
According to a report from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, there was a 5% increase in cosmetic plastic surgery procedures from 2011 to 2012. In fact, statistics show that close to 15 million surgical and non-surgical procedures were performed in the United States last year. This increase can apparently be credited to minimally invasive procedures such as Botox®, LaViv™, various fillers, chemical peels and other types of non-surgical procedures, whereas surgical procedures remained steady across the boards. What the overall increase shows, however, is that even in a struggling economy, people are still intent on improving their outward appearance and enhancing their true beauty through plastic surgery.
At the Pacific Plastic Surgery Group we know that invasive plastic surgery procedures may not meet everyone's specific needs. That is why one of the nice things about plastic surgery is there are a number of different procedures available, all of which may be able to get you the results you desire. For those who are not interested, or who cannot afford, surgical procedures, there are many non-surgical treatments available which can produce astounding results. For the last 11 years our group has been successfully providing top-of-the-line, innovative and effective treatments to patients in and around the San Francisco area.
