Vitalize Chemical Peel

SkinMedica VITALIZE PEEL® is a superficial peel for mild-to-moderate skin imperfections.

Works to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage, hyperpigmentation, melanoma, and acne-prone skins. It is suitable for all Fitzpatrick skin levels. Provides subtle results after 1 peel and compelling results after 3-6. This treatment can be repeated every 3-4 weeks. The peel is a blend of:

  • Salicylic Acid
  • Lactic Acid
  • Resorcinol
  • Retinol

What To Expect From Your Chemical Peel

Immediately after your San Francisco chemical peel and up to 24 hours afterwards, you may experience the following effects.

Rejuvenize Peel

This is a superficial peel that must have the consent of a physician and pretreatment of the Vitalize Peel before treatments. It may be performed every 4-6 weeks, it is well-tolerated with minimal downtime, noticeable improvement after just one peel; significant results after 3-6 treatments. During application patient may feel moderate to strong burning, redness, warmth, and itching may occur after each pass. These symptoms usually subside or become mild within 2-3 minutes.

Before Each Chemical Peel

1 Week Prior To Treatment

Patient should avoid these products and/ or procedures:

  • Electrolysis
  • Depilatory Creams
  • Waxing
  • Laser Hair Removal

3 Days Prior To Treatment

Patient should avoid these products and/ or procedures:

  • Retin-A, Renova, Differin, Tazorac
  • Any products containing retinol, AHA or BHA, or benzoyl peroxide
  • Any exfoliating products or procedures that may be drying or irritating

VERY IMPORTANT: New brown spots, telangiectasia and redness may appear with NEW sun damage; however they too can be treated. Remember to ALWAYS apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen when outdoors to minimize sun damage and the appearance of new spots and redness.

Caution: Patients who have had a medical procedure, Botox, fillers, and/or microdermabrasion should wait until skin sensitivity is completely resolved before having a SkinMedica Peel.
